I climbed out of the car.It was really dusty up there!Then I went over to my office.it is a small cubby-ish area off the side of the main meeting room.I will be moving my furniture up there soon.After looking around for a bit,I hollered down to Rufus and climbed in.Once angain,with a bump and a lurch, I was in the air .When i landed back at the lower dock everyone cheered and asked me what it was like.Everyone has been going up and down all day.!Hopefully there will be no problems with it.


Today was a lovely fall day!

Heya,Fluffy buddies!

With the final peices of tape in place, The air trolleys are officially done!!!As the president of the BUC,I got the first ride!I climbed,somewhat nervously into the trolley car.Rufus grabbed one of the strings..The countdown began 5,4,3,2,1,,,,,,,,Liftoff!With a bump,Rufus tugged on the string and I was in the air.The ride was smooth,and I looked over the side as i went up.The blinds were open,and I looked out the window.It was quite the liberating experiance!After about a minute in the air, the car landed with a *thump* at the new headquarters.......

My friends,
i am proud to announce that the air trolleys are almost completed!We had a slight setback when Rufus got drunk on purple cows and was out of it for a few days, but other than that everything has been smooth sailing.Also, I have found out i will be the first to ride in it once it is completed!.

Hey,teddies!

Today R and G had to stay after school for sports and stuff,and took pictures of us together!It was fun.eeB and I could be brothers.Also,I am proud to announce a few new members of the BUC:Koala,cookie,Fuzzles,and eeB are all honorary members.

first,thanks for the comment Koala,I was rather surprised to find out your not actually a Koala,and for the bears who dont know,The BUC is The Bears United Comitee,which is dedicated to making human and bear lives easier and happier.



Now,about the air trolleys.
Rufus has decided on the materials.on of the pulleys is made of duct tape reinforced cardboard and the other pulley is made of plastic,the cable is made out of yarn,and the actual car shall be made out of a shoe box.We are all very excited,and the building crew jut started today.

Here is a Transcript of my meeting with Rufus,The Maitenence and engineering Pres. of The BUC:

B:hello,Rufus
R:howdy,bernard,what did you want to talk about?
B:I need you to think of a way for us to get up to our new meeting place without R's help.
R:I think i can do that!do you have any ideas?
B:well,i was reading some of my commments,and Lola Lou had a pretty good idea,she said something about stairs ...
R:hmmm(he walks over to the the des and makes some measurements)
R:stairs won't work,the angles are all wrong and we dont have enough shoe boxes.
B:a ladder maybe?
R:naw,with all the bears who need to go up and down?we'd have major blockups.
B:well,than what are we gonna do?
R:well,i've had this idea for awhile,of a sort of cable car/subway transport thing and i think it would work perfectly..
B:sounds neat!hw does it work?
R:(drawing on notepad)well ,see one pulley goes up here,and another goes down there,and a string inbetween,and then the 'car" goes on the string,and all a bear has to do is pull the other string,and you can go up.
B: i like it!do you know what materials we need?
R:not yet.can i think for a while and get some measurements and get back to you later?
R; sure,meeting adjourned.

Can't wait!this sounds really cool and i cant wait till we figure out what materials to use!

i checked out the place R recommended,and its perfect,its on top of her desk,and i need her assistance to get up there,since its about 7 feet of the ground,but im sure the BUC's engineering and maitenence president,Rufus can take care of it!

It's getting chillier,and today it rained all day.

As you might have discovered from my more recent posts,i often post from the library.R takes me there after she has cross country practice.I have been spending lots of time there.I love to read,and there is a large orange cat there that i like to play with.Last time iwent,Eeb's pawtner G was there.What a small small world!

Although we are still looking for a new meeting place,R says she has somewhere that we might like.She says it fills all our criteria :
1.Must be where attack from snakes is impossible.

2.Must be large enough for all members of the BUC

3.Should be close to our old HQ so we can move our stuff easily.

4.Should preferably have a private office for the president.


since i am typing this out at the library,i'll have to wait untill i get home to check it out.
